Plan and profile review for civil and infrastructure projects
Review plan and profile sheets, measure at engineering scales such as 1" = 40', and keep every comment tied to a station on the sheet.

Measure at engineering scales
Scales such as 1" = 40' or 1:500 are read from the sheet and suggested for you to confirm; separate scales for detail areas on the same sheet.
Takeoff and estimating →Plan and profile review
Clouds and callouts with statuses on alignments, grades and culverts; references to other sheets become links.
Markup and review →Match lines and sheet references
The drawing checks flag a match line or note that points to a sheet that isn’t in the set.
Drawing checks →Revision compare
Compare the 60 % and 90 % issues sheet by sheet, matched by sheet number.
Compare and overlay →An example from our sample sets
Our sample Cedar Creek Road set ends at sheet C-102, whose match line still says “SEE C-103” — the drawing checks flag it. On the same sheet the profile labels a grade of −2.50 %, while measuring the drawn grade between the two PVIs gives about −0.5 %.
Our sample sets are generated, fictional drawings made for demonstrations.
Good to know
- Profiles drawn with vertical exaggeration: each area has one scale, so measure horizontal distances with the plan scale.
- Planspector works on PDF sheets; it doesn’t read alignment or surface models.

Industrial and process plants
Review P&IDs and single-line diagrams, count valves and instruments with symbol search, and mark up with ISA-style P&ID symbols.
Manufacturing and fabrication
Review shop and fabrication drawings, compare revisions and approve them with stamps — with vendors commenting through verified links.
